Time to Be on the Same Page

Over the course of the week, I was able to complete my draft invitation for Final Presentation Night, more research for my final product, and a mentor visit. I find it quite easy to make my invitations; however, I realized that I actually used up all of the templates I liked on previous ISM occasions. Therefore, it took awhile to recreate an invitation I thought looked nice. Moreover, I completed more research about the financial side of echocardiograms. I found that insurance only covers a partial amount of the cost, which may be a problem. Consequently, after the research, I have updated some of my interview questions to ask an insurance representative. In addition, I went on a mentor visit to watch my third heart surgery, another CABG x3. It was another amazing opportunity to be able to observe and shadow Dr. Hutcheson’s technique. I was able to update her on my progress with my final product as well to make sure we were on the same page.

All in all, the goal for my final product is to complete all of my interviews and a draft of the publication by the end of the month, so I need to make some cold calls and keep working hard.

Best Regards,
